The Golden Hour is a term referring to the time just after sunrise and just before sunset that creates softer, more appealing tones of natural light. Hailed as the best time to take photographs, the golden hour can make for astounding images.
It is only proper then that Pittsburgh's crown jewel, Point State Park, shines phenomenally during this timeframe. Land that once housed Fort Pitt and Fort Duquesne, vital strongholds during the French and Indian War, then became and industrial hub, is now home to Point State Park since 1974. The outlines of the forts seen throughout the park symbolizing the lands rich history, while the park is surrounded by grand feats of engineering and architecture showing the cities progressive motivation. The park was recently renovated and provides unrivaled views along Pittsburgh's three rivers. Capping of the top of the Golden Triangle, this jewel shines brightly during the golden hour.
