Three Rivers Heritage Trail - North Shore-Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh's riverfronts, once used for industry and railways, now provide over 25 miles of recreational trails. The Three Rivers Heritage Trail, set along both shores of the city, provides breathtaking views of the city while immersing it's users in the History of the region. The trail goes along former and current industrial sections of the city and railroads that carried tons of steel while initiating improvements along the shores, giving a glimpse into what once was and what is to be.

The following pictures were taken along the North Shore section of the trail, a portion that stretches from the Heinz factory down to the point.

I will be posting pictures from along the South Shore Section of the trail in the near future and see some of my other posts that show the Station Square section of the trail.
